Main Duties of the Bureau of Accounting

The Bureau of Accounting, as an organization responsible for the TMG’s accounting work, conducts such operations as the management and safeguarding of cash and securities, etc., confirmation of expenditure, preparing annual financial statements, planning, guidance and inspection of accounting work, excluding those concerning public enterprises.
Its operations also include the promotion of accounting system reform using double entry accrual-based accounting, management and investment of government funds, and supply of essential items to each bureau.
For revenue and expenditure management and other accounting work, the Director General of the Bureau acts as the Chief Director of Accounting with an authority independent from the Governor.
